Inspired by Sea and Earth

Atelier Bartavelle x Francesca Ferrari

Continuing its poetic venture in the south of France, French label Atelier Bartavelle collaborates with photographer Francesca Ferrari, translating the story of its AW16 collection Méounes into visuals.

‘Méounes’ is a winding road, leading from the Saint-Baume mountain in Provence to the Mediterranean sea. The story of the AW16 campaign starts here between the limestone creeks and the rocky mountains. The spirit of Atelier Bartavelle has always been closely connected to the sea and the coasts of Southern France. It is reflected in its signature color palette. For this winter, black, indigo blue and khaki green is emphasized by a touch of purple, gold lamé jacquards, and silver green tweed.

The novelty of this season is Cape ‘Mariana’, as it completes the outerwear collection. Jacket Nathanaela remains a masterpiece of the collection, as it gives elegance to a denim jacket through the Bartavelle jacket codes. All pieces are made in Europe in Marseille and Porto.

The visual story is completed by its lookbook photographer Francesca Ferrari’s personal work ‘Gravity’. Simple objects are captured resembling images taken from the space. All objects ‘fell’ on a surface as a result of gravity on earth.
